I have that kit also and, judging from an inspection of the of the parts, and the astonishingly complex instructions, it appears to be a major construction challenge. Good luck!

Thanks Terri! I've checked the parts for any warps. The only problems I've seen are that the lower wings and horizontal tail have a slight bow, I'll have to dip them in hot water to straighten them out.....

...
...

The test fit of the fuselage looks good....................

...
...

I shoud be able to get the remaining parts off of the resin pour blocks tonight.

Warped parts was apparently a Copper State hallmark. I have several of their kits and they all have warped parts.

Hi everyone,

No problem, got em straightened out. I've made a jig for the fuselage so it will remain level for the wings and tail................

...

The test fit of the fuselage parts looks good overall..............

...

I don't like the fuel container, it's not round so I cut out a piece of brass tube and made another one......................

...
...

more soon,

Mark

Mark, this is a really interesting jig, I like this plane, but it seems really difficult to find information about it, do you have any link where information and credible profiles are available?

I found an interesting Grigorovich M5 Sierra kit to build
(http://sierrascale.com/48wwi.htm)
but before buying it I would like to know more...

I've built some Sierra Scale kits before, not WW1 and have found them to be pretty good. I certainly had fun building them.

Hi Antonio,

I can VERY HIGHLY recommend the Sierra scale Grigorovich kit. I have several of their kits and they are all quite nice.
