The adventure continues at Swanny’s Models. This time around we take a look at working with a vacuform conversion kit. This video takes the modeler through all the steps of learning how to work with vacuform model parts from the initial removal from the master sheet through trimming, tabbing and assembly. Resin and photo etched parts are revisited and added to the build. Swanny discusses the basic philosophy of paint and how to achieve the highest level of success when using different types of paints. From there the modeler is taken through the process of achieving a realistic natural metal finish utilizing lacquer based paints. If building a model of this complexity was not enough there is additional bonus material here like building basic display bases and photographing your model. There is so much material covered here is was simply impossible to contain it all on two discs or even three, this volume consists of FOUR FULL DVDs of modeling goodness with a total run time of 12 hours and 20 minutes. If you thought ‘Lawrence of Arabia’ was a long show you better grab an extra-large popcorn for this presentation.
